Casual Gardener

If you are interested in working with a fun bunch of like minded plant nerds, this position may just be for you!

​

Mel’s Garden Care & Maintenance is based in Eltham servicing a wide range of gardens in surrounding suburbs.  We are growing and looking to add a casual gardener to our maintenance team.

​

This will be an ongoing position of approx. 25-30 hours per week with the possibility of increased hours in the future.  Hours are flexible and there will be no weekend work - yay!    

​

Reporting to Mel, the Chief Garden Lover, our ideal candidate will:

• Love working in a team and also be confident to work unsupervised when required

• Be skilled in plant identification, particularly weeds, perennial shrubs and trees

• Have an understanding of the ongoing maintenance requirements of plants

• Be hard working and physically fit

• Posses qualifications and/or experience in general garden maintenance tasks including hand weeding, hedging, pruning, planting, and applying soil amendments such as compost, fertilisers and mulch

• Be organised and have excellent communication skills

• Have a keen eye for detail and be proud of the work they do

• Live local or be familiar with the Eltham area

• Have their own vehicle and drivers license
